A strong wind gust over 90 mph blew down the weather station pole a few months ago. The pole, erected over 10 years ago, had started to rot where it entered the ground. The new pole sits between two c-shaped iron brackets that are sunk in two feet of concrete. It is expected that this configuration will greatly exceed the ten year life span of the old pole.
Thanks to John Kraft and other volunteers who helped to install the new pole.
